  • The Melanoma Research Foundation is the largest private national organization devoted to melanoma.

  • The American Academy of Dermatology provides information about all kinds of dermatologic conditions and treatments, and is an excellent source of information on all varieties of Skin Cancer.  Also, the AAD site provides a handy reference to help you find a dermatologist in your area.

  • The National Cancer Institute is a division of NIH and is one of the leaders in cancer research and treatment.

  • The American Society for Mohs Surgery strongly promotes patient and public education in Mohs surgery. Mohs surgery has been shown to be a highly effective treatment for certain types of skin cancer, with a cure rate of up to 99% for certain tumors. The American Society for Mohs Surgery is a non-profit professional medical society of over 700 dermatologists, pathologists, and Mohs technicians. Founded in 1990, the ASMS is dedicated to the highest quality patient care and education relative to Mohs surgery as a specialized surgical treatment for skin cancer.

  • The Skin Cancer Foundation has set the standard for educating the public and the medical profession about skin cancer, its prevention by means of sun protection, and the need for early detection and prompt, effective treatment.
